It is estimated that approximately 45 percent of all marriages in the United States end in divorce.

Separation and divorce can be the source of emotional and psychological distress for children and teens. As they experience a loss of family cohesiveness, young people may feel torn between their parents and other family members. The eventual addition of new partners and the creation of blended families may further complicate feelings and intensify internal and external conflicts.

Reconcilable Differences addresses the needs of children and teens faced with the separation and divorce of their parents. The group environment provides a safe space for participants to openly express their feelings surrounding parental separation and divorce. Children and teens will have the opportunity to explore their family’s situation while feeling supported by fellow group members and co-facilitators.

  • Adapting to changes
  • Expressing feelings
  • Stress management
